Junction Park is a pocket park located in the original spot of the Kearney Train Depot in Olde Town Kearney. A nicely landscaped seating area provides the perfect location to watch the trains go by. Amenities include bench seating and open green space.
In June 2022, the Soldiers & Sailors Monument was relocated to its current home in Junction Park. The statue's history dates back to 1906 when various patriotic and soldiers' organizations met with the intent of erecting a soldier's monument, commemorating veterans from the Civil and Spanish-American Wars.
